NEW DELHI— October 5, 2026 — Innovaccer today announced that its Co-Founder and CEO, Abhinav Shashank, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Innovation in Technology category at Entrepreneur India's annual awards, held today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The recognition honors Shashank's role in building Innovaccer from a startup founded in 2014 into a platform that now powers healthcare operations in more than 1,600 hospitals and clinics, serving 96,000-plus clinicians and generating over $2.5 billion in cumulative cost savings for customers. Under his leadership, Innovaccer has raised more than $625 million at a $3.5 billion valuation and committed $250 million over three years to Gravity, its agentic AI platform built to reduce administrative burden and improve population health performance for health systems.
Unlike India, where a patient's records typically stay with a single hospital or clinic, the US healthcare system is split across thousands of private hospitals, insurers, and independent clinics that historically have not shared data with one another. This fragmentation has long made it hard for doctors to see a patient's full medical history and for health systems to manage costs and care quality at scale. Innovaccer's platform connects these disconnected systems and applies AI on top of the combined data, allowing hospitals and insurers to spot health risks earlier, reduce unnecessary procedures, and cut administrative costs- work that has made Innovaccer, a company founded by Indian entrepreneurs, one of the most recognized healthcare AI companies in the United States.
The award adds to a year of individual and company recognition for Innovaccer, including Shashank's inclusion on Becker's "Rising Stars: 188 Healthcare Leaders Under 40" for 2026, Gravity's win in the Enterprise AI category at the SiliconANGLE TechForward Awards, and the company's inclusion on TIME's 2026 list of the World's Top HealthTech Companies.
